No. She is a psychiatric nurse practitioner with a doctorate degree in advanced nursing practice. In psychiatry, nurse practitioners function similarly to a psychiatrist. Jade can assess, diagnose, treat, provide psychotherapy, and prescribe medication.
With a nurse practitioner, you get the best of both worlds. Studies have proven that nurse practitioners provide quality and effective care with positive patient outcomes.
Jade takes her time and focuses a lot on education and prevention, treating the patient as a whole, in addition to any psychiatric conditions being treated.
We require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice prior to your scheduled appointment to avoid being charged the full session fee (based on our cash pricing).

Though Jade is a family psychiatric nurse practitioner, services at this time are generally for adults, 18-64 years old. We do provide some services for older adults, 65 years and older. However, depending on their presenting symptoms, care may be better suited with a provider who sub-specializes in geriatric psychiatry.
Jade treats various mental health conditions including ADHD, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, OCD, and PTSD. However, she does not generally treat conditions such as psychotic disorders (i.e. schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, new onset psychosis, etc.), eating disorders, or substance abuse.
Jade, as an Air Force veteran herself, additionally specializes in military and veteran mental health conditions affecting service members and their families.
Jade additionally offers supportive care and psychoeducation to help patients better cope with life stressors (i.e., familial, occupational, social etc.) and difficult life transitions. Also, in making healthier choices for your physical and mental wellbeing.

Yes but on 2 conditions. We do provide a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and QBCheck Testing which can support a diagnosis of ADHD. However, when conditions are significantly complexed, this may sometimes require an in-depth neuropsychological evaluation, which we do not provide. If necessary, we can refer you to someone who does. Secondly, first line treatment for ADHD generally involves controlled medications, which may not be appropriate for every individual. We also do not prescribe controlled medications in the states of Arizona, Maryland or Washington. There are, however, non-controlled medication options that can be prescribed for the treatment of ADHD, if medically necessary.
